Following the Ribeira do Torgal, you will find a place of extreme beauty, isolated among rocks and without human intervention: <strong>Pego das Pias<\/strong> (River Beach).<\/p>\n<p>You will want to linger here, especially on hot days. Its name comes from the circular cavities (pias) found in the rocks, caused by whirlpools that existed at a time when the water level was higher than it is today.
