Cavaleiro – Herdade do Touril

Close to village Rider is the Cabo Sardão and its lighthouse, the place where we can find the largest number of storks in spring. This huge bird, the “star” of the Alentejo Coast, choose nesting in the rugged cliffs and rocks “planted” in the sea, a habit considered unique in the world.

From here the path is well marked by the Touril, the single Fisherman Rail route of Rota Vicentina that can also done by bike instead of walking.
